In 2002, a mother’s journey turned pain into purpose. When Ms. Deepa’s daughter, Richee, was diagnosed with craniosynostosis, her life shifted entirely. Instead of yielding to limitations, she envisioned a space where every neurodiverse child could thrive with dignity and opportunity.
From just 3 children and a rented building in 2006, Kaumaram Prashanthi Academy grew into a full-fledged institution known for its inclusive education, innovative therapies, and deeply human approach. Today, Mrs. Deepa leads a multidisciplinary team that champions empowerment through education — creating not just a school, but a sanctuary where potential is nurtured, celebrated, and realized.
A Purpose-Driven Journey
Since 2006, Kaumaram Prashanthi Academy has redefined special education in Tamil Nadu. What started as a small setup is now a comprehensive space serving hundreds of children with diverse needs. Our focus is on holistic development — blending therapies, inclusive academics, vocational training, and a strong support system for families. Our work doesn’t end in classrooms. We collaborate with government bodies, NGOs, and CSR initiatives to create a ripple effect of inclusive education across the region. Every step we take is guided by one principle: every child deserves a future filled with possibility.
